Six By Sondheim is awesome!
I just got home from a free advance screening of "Six By Sondheim." It's pretty amazing. The interviews are great and had things even I didn't know. And *most* of the performances are fantastic, especially "Opening Doors" (see a clip). The one exception was "I'm Still Here." I loved the filmmaker's take on it, but HATED HATED the singer.
After the showing there was a Q&A with the film's editor and one of (I think) the producers. Alas no Jame Lapine or Frank Rich or, for that matter, Stephen Sondheim.
It airs Monday, Dec. 9 on HBO.
