Shakespeare in the Park

One thing I enjoyed this summer was getting to see all the free Shakespeare in the Park. I immensely enjoyed seeing all 4 shows offered. And they made me want read the plays themselves. I've read several of Shakespeare's plays but I'd like to go back and refresh my memory of my favorites and try some new ones.

These are the shows I saw:

They were all excellent. Henry V and The Tempest both had equity members playing Henry, Pistol, Prospero and Caliban -- and it showed. And Vince Brady was amazing as King Lear.

Special mention must be made of Luke Sayler who played Bottom in Midsummer Night's Dream. His performance as Pyramus in the play (Pyramus and Thisbe) within the play (Midsummer Night's Dream) was the funniest version of it I have ever seen! I think I hurt myself from laughing so hard!
