My latest discovery is that the mosquitoes in Ilha Grande are as friendly as the dogs and the sparrows, with the consequence that my legs are absolutely covered from top to bottom with red, angry, oozing welts. We took the night bus from Sao Paulo to Angra dos Reis, and the "ferry" to Ilha Grande. The whole journey took longer than it did to get from London to Brazil in the first place.
