Why there's a rule that something has to taste nasty to be effective. At least, it seems that way with meds I have to take for my lupus. I started a Solu Medrol dose pack today and the first day is always the loading dose of Prednisone. Then, for the next five days I'll taper down from that first heavy dose to nothing

Thanks, sweetie. It's not as much as it used to before the damage was so great but the dose packs do still help. If they at least help me get through the show still walking I'll be happy. :)

Thank you, sweetie, I know that good thoughts and the love sent always helps. The dose pack always helps with the stiffness, at least. Not as much as it used to but it's still better than nothing. :)

Is there nothing else you can try? It sucks when the body starts getting used to these things!

He just recently switched out my regular anti-inflammatory to see if that would help. Unfortunately there's no really effective treatment for Lupus yet except for trying to manage the different symptoms that crop up.

So many of them have nasty side effects, too. I had to stop taking Plaquenil because of the damage it was doing to my vision.

I've never tried it, but I know Walgreens can fill things in cherry or orange flavor. That might help with the taste.

It'll help. Not as much as it used to a few years ago but it does still make things a little easier if nothing else. :)
