(no subject)
Been playing Umineko all weekend. Creeping myself out, too, with some snow falling off the roof late last night and making a giant crash (lol, I couldn't go upstairs without always having a light on around me, wow I was lame, but that's a story for another day).
The flashbacks/forwards are a little bit tedious, since I'm so used to nearly non-stop island action, but it's not bad. I should like Ange more than I do, though. :/ I LIKE her, her part's just going on for quite awhile -- goodness, when I get to that scene I hope I can react emotionally. Ha, yay for spoilers. Honestly, her part right now is keeping me on edge for learning about the other relatives of the victims and the Stakes (MAMMON ♥ ) and Sakutaro. Though when she gets to the island I will probably be more engulfed in her story.
And what? How's Kinzo so prevalent, I thought he was supposed to be dead? Or are the spoilers wrong? --and for that matter! A general comment: If it turns out none of the magic stuff was true at all, since all we can trust in the Question Arcs is Battler's narration, I may be rather pissed. Because then we lose the best parts of the story -- Kanon and Shannon's talk of the Golden Land? Beato reviving Shannon for George? ALL OF THE META-WORLD? I may cry if it turns out that there's no fantasy stuff, because I have completely given in to the whole "A Witch Did It" theory, though I doubt it was completely Beato. Augh, I'm just starting to get antsy -- I don't know why, either, Ryukishi07 said the last four arcs are not Answer Arcs, but Core Arcs, as the fans have called them. I'm not going to understand EP1 any better with EP5 under my belt, unless the knowledge that Kinzo is dead (which he better be) is anything.
...but wait, if Kinzo is dead, then who's pulling the strings of EP4? Who captured all those who survived the first twilight? And who is giving the cousins their tests? And why would the survivors tell the cousins that it was Kinzo who murdered the victims of the first twilight? WHY WOULD KRAUSS TELL HIS DAUGHTER THIS-- unless Krauss was told to say that on penalty of death or worse to the cousins. But then how would that explain Gohda and Kumasawa? They told the cousins everything in a rush, and they wouldn't have censored the--
.......screw it, it was Kinzo's ghost, summoning the furniture. That's what happened. The furniture was there, though. It had to be there. I will not let this game completely screw my mind. Not everything had to be explained logically -- Maria was right, magic EXISTS and so does Beatrice, and that's all there is to it!
..........................gao this series is going to leave me brain-dead.
And after nearly finishing EP4 of Umineko, I discover that EP5's patch is not compatible with EP6. I will have to wait until Witch Hunt puts out the compatibility patch, which may take awhile because part of the system was completely changed in Japan.
