Here is an excerpt from my Black Literature class notes for today's class:
*Lactificating: (reference to milk) whitening; milkification.
*Booker T. Washington
*Let's learn things so white people will love us.
*Civil Rights are necessary.
*DuBois has balls.
*Nobody listens to the Indians.
In the margins are the decorated words "Tabula Rosa," a countdown of minutes that was frequently updated, and two questions that actually came up in class: "Are you lactating?" and "So, it's a tabular theory?"
Who here agrees I could have benefited more from a coma?
Crystal, My Little Ponies rock. Hard. I think I should amend my former statement about the 80s as I do enjoy the objects which came out of it in general, just not the style.
She's grown a second helmet. And is wearing shoulder pads.
This is a mild day for "Priss"' hair. Can you see how stringy the mass of it is? How that contrasts so violently with the fluffy roundness of the top? How it's so large it casts defined shadows on her face? How there's that one piece which just stands up?
This is an animated character, it shouldn't have bad hair days. Bad hair in this case was designed that way, and lots of effort went in to it.
Here's a cat.
Oh! I had an amazing realization last night! (See, it was so amazing I used two exclaimation marks.)
Here it is: Cats bite their nails too.
You can imagine my shock when I looked at my cat last night, thinking she was innocently bathing her feet, and realized she was in fact chewing her claws off. Maybe she was nervous? Maybe she's got an assignment to turn in today? I chew my nails when I have papers due. Whatever the reason is it doesn't distract from the fact that this is awesome.
