At the market I found a stall with miniature glass bottles. I thought McCoy may enjoy these ;)

Knowing our Bones, he would enjoy these especially for making his favourite mint julep!.-)

Yes, he would! But I don't remember the mint julep right now - in which episode or movie did they talk about it?

Oh my dear, I am not even sure is this was in any of the original episodes but I know that Bones´ mint julep has a firm place in zines and became a canonic thing!:-) Even Spock knew his weakness and when our trio was on Vulcan, Sarek and Amanda always offered Bones "his" drink! Don´t ask me about the stories, my shelves are piled with printed zines, precious things with lovely drawings. They are waiting for re-reading!

I don't remember in which episode it was but I clearly see Bones pouring a drink and offering to Spock but he declined so he drank alone. That's what this is based on.

Although probably when Scotty arrives he will be happy about these too ;) I need to go back and buy more.

I love tiny glass bottles, so I'm totally geeking out here!

(I'm also really impressed by how realistically he can hold/pour from a bottle.)

Same here! And I'll bet one of the bottles is holding illegal Romulan ale. LOL

Yes! It's all medicine ;)
This picture is making quite the rounds on Twitter, over 300 Likes! And a retweet from the official Star Trek Twitter. I'm famous again ;)

I love them too! Ever since I visited my friend and she had an old dollhouse from her mother with real porcellain and glass vases and dishes, and I only had cheap plastic.

There are many more styles and colors available, I may go back and add more. Only 4 EUR for a piece!

I just tried all hands until I found one that could grip the bottle well. How do you like my table top? That used to be a chocolate box. I couldn't throw it away with this interesting style.

He looks like he could use a drink. A serious man, is he?

Serious? Hm. Not sure how to answer this. It's true he probably has a lot to worry about. He can come over as snarky or angry, but I love him for his funny lines and humanity. He's honest. He sees right through you and tells you things you hadn't realized yourself yet. I immediately liked him after the first few minutes ( ... )

Jugding from your description, I'd like him, too.

McCoy is the heart. He puts the emotional, human opinion in. And Kirk in the middle listens to both opinions, and then makes his decision on how to act.
I think it makes a good balance. I'm sure there's never a simple answer, but having someone to articulate both sides' perspective helps you see the whole picture. And then you just have to be Kirk.

Also McCoy is the only one that Jim cannot order. In fact, he can order the captain to take a break if necessary. So he also has a lot of responsibility, being the head of all medical people.

It sounds reasonable. Also, it's a good idea for a story, him ordering Kirk to take a break when he doesn't feel he has to. The conflict, and then mutual agreement.

The conflict, and then mutual agreement. This is why I also loved the Jack (leader of SG-1) and Janet (doctor in the infirmary) relationship in Stargate. Equally, she is the only one having a say over him. She doesn't use it too often, only when really necessary. He always tried to fled the infirmary as soon as possible, hating being sick, seen as being vulnerable, etc. Never wanting to share his emotions, always the funny guy. I am a sucker for these kind of heroes, Jack in Torchwood was the same! Which is why I fell so quickly for him ( ... )
