At the market I found a stall with miniature glass bottles. I thought McCoy may enjoy these ;)

Also, it's a good idea for a story, him ordering Kirk to take a break when he doesn't feel he has to. The conflict, and then mutual agreement.

This is why I also loved the Jack (leader of SG-1) and Janet (doctor in the infirmary) relationship in Stargate. Equally, she is the only one having a say over him. She doesn't use it too often, only when really necessary. He always tried to fled the infirmary as soon as possible, hating being sick, seen as being vulnerable, etc. Never wanting to share his emotions, always the funny guy. I am a sucker for these kind of heroes, Jack in Torchwood was the same! Which is why I fell so quickly for him.

But the doctors are the only ones that see that other side. The nightmares, the pain, the screams. And they never tell anyone, this is why you can trust them. You can feel safe there.

There was a scene in Star Trek where Spock says that everyone has gone down to the planet for some recreation except one guy who is stubborn and does not want to leave but hasn't slept much during the past days. Kirk was furious and said "I am ordering to leave, what's his name?" And Spock replied "James Kirk" LOL That look!

Everyone should have a McCoy to confide in :)

Yes! It gets lonely at the top. Jack usually said "This is what they pay me the big bucks for" but you have a lot of responsibility, thinking of your team first and yourself last. I would trust Jack O'Neill, Jack Harkness or Jim Kirk with my life and follow them everywhere.
