Because I feel like I haven't given him enough love lately.
5. Reasons I love Pete Wentz:
1. He is a lyrical genius. I dare any critic of Fall Out Boy to sit down and just read their lyrics. Don't listen to the music, don't think about who they are or where they come from, just read the lyrics. They are amazing and I'll never be convinced otherwise. He has inspired my style of writing so much with his own. His lyrics also take away from how much of a douche he is and kind of makes you see that under all of the lame shit he does he is still a totally normal person with totally normal feelings just like the rest of us. Basically his lyrics have gotten me though the roughest shit in my life and I will always love him for that.
2. He's a total asshole. He is such a prick and will say anything that's on his mind and anyone who knows me knows that I always love the asshole. He has absolutely no filter between what he thinks and what he says. If you're being an idiot, he'll tell you.
3. He is so stupid looking, its cute. He dresses like donkey shit, but somehow always makes it look good. What other male can rock V-Neck t's? Not many at all. He has HUGE teeth, dopey eyes, he's too short, too skinny, his hair is stupid, but it all works for him.
4. His shenans are so funny. He's always doing random shit that makes me laugh. He always has something totally out there to say that makes you go "WHAT?" and you know he makes perfect sense to himself. He is one of those people who if you were stuck in a room alone with him, you would never be bored. You could just watch him be him for hours. He makes me laugh probably on a daily basis.
5. He is self made. Everything he has and everything he is he made for himself. People criticize him for running the show when it comes to Fall Out Boy, but he made them who they are. He is a business man at it's finest. He knows how to create success. He also doesn't have some sob story about how hard his life was to make people relate to him. He is a perfectly normal rich kid from Chicago. His parents are together and very well off. He was a very talented soccer player. He is educated in political science. He isn't someone who found drive from problems in his life, he is someone who made the right decisions in life and worked hard to get to where he is. I'm not saying that makes him better than people who have come from struggle or that those people's struggles aren't important. I'm just saying that its refreshing to see someone who didn't need some kind of tragedy in his life to make it where he is today.
One day, I'm going to make a list of reasons I hate Pete Wentz. Seems appropriate because sometimes I hate him as much as I love him. I mostly just love him though.
