what, that experience builds on itself creating something new?

maybe deja vu is that since most people do the same things with their lives over and over again, it's just a vague forgotten memory that's mixing with the new experiences, creating a sensation of familiarity.

still, i've met people who say they've seen into the future for a few seconds but when they did they ended up doing the same exact thing as what they saw themselves doing. so maybe life is written out for you with ideas and emotions coming to your mind regardless, or maybe it just takes an extremely strong will to actually mix things up.
