Dressed in his usual doctor's attire of khaki pants and a polo shirt Pein was laying on his couch enjoying a rare quiet moment. He was home alone, his day had been mostly organization and he didn't have to go into the hospital. Life was giving him a reprieve during what he knew would be a hectic month, that and 'she' was coming. Hearing his

"It looks like whoever stabbed you hadn't clean their blade in a while. This is going to hurt and I am going to have to give you a booster shot." Pein cleaned the wound, taking saline and squirting it directly into the wound watching as flicks drifted out of it.
Taking the gauze he patted it dry before applying a wound ointment. "I'm going to have to leave this one open until the wound closes up some. You won't be able to lay on your back for a while." Continuing up, Pein cleaned the various wounds before going up and surveying the work Naruto had done on her head.
"Alright let's take care of this lovely head wound of yours. Naruto get her some water and bring in one of her bags. It looks as though I am putting you under observation for the night. I intend on giving you some thing to fight the risk of infection, take the edge off the pain, fight the inevitable nausea and hopefully inable you to get some sleep. First however are you on any medications, prescribed or otherwise that I need to know about?"
Pein studied the wound in her head gently moving the hair out of his way as he applied a guaze before beginning to slowly wrap a bandage around her head.

“Eh… Beats havin’ to take out a bullet…”
She sighed at the feel of hands fiddling with her wounds, ignoring the discomfort as Pein cleaned what he could.
“My back? Too bad… I’ll just have to get more practice fucking on my side. Or me knees, we know how good I am at that…”
She waited until the comforting pressure of the bandages settled the pain in her back before shifting, arching her spine to get more comfortable while Pein ordered Naruto around, sighing at the thought of attempting to sleep there. She wasn’t accustomed to sleeping around Pein, at least not in the doctor-patient sense, and she had a feeling that it was going to be a lot less fun than the regular sense would be. She smiled weakly when he asked about medications, chocolate orbs rolling up to study him.
“That you need to know about?”
She rolled her eyes, making a show of thinking it over.
“Nope…”
She tapped a rhythm on the countertop with her nails as she waited, her neck growing sore and she made a mental note to make sure Naruto just brought her computer bag and her backpack in. They had all the essentials, and she got the feeling that carrying one of the big sea bags would be a bitch for her for the time being. Once there was enough bandaging on her head that she wasn’t in immediate harm she rolled her shoulders, observing her surroundings.
“You look good.”
Tsuchi wasn’t the type of girl to make petty compliments, nor was she the type to miss someone, let alone say she did. To her, it was merely a statement of fact, and as close to an ‘It’s good to see you’ as she was ever going to give. Fortunately, he wasn’t the type to be affected by either, and he knew how she ticked as well as anyone, so she didn’t really have to worry about miscommunication between them. The brunette bodyguard didn’t waste time attempting small talk, nor did she expect him to do anything of the sort, content with the silence, the most comfortable and natural sound that she could accomplish for the time being.

He couldn't wait to see Neji again. He was slightly horny. Watching Tsu and Pein shoot at each other tended to do that to him. Naruto had once wondered what would happen if the three of them fell into bed together and realized that it would probably be explosive.
Shouldering her stuff, Naruto walked back up and went into the apartment. For a moment he had really been worried about Tsu. She had lost a lot of blood, but Pein was entirely too competent to let something happen to someone he considered dear.
Setting Tsu's stuff down on the table, Naruto flopped down and checked his phone before turning his gaze towards the television. The silence bothered him somewhat but he was learning to deal with it the longer he stayed in Pein's company.

“Crap… Crap… News… Crap… Jesus... How do people watch this crap all day? This is why I get my shows online...”
She eventually settled on the mind-numbing joy of a classic, The Simpsons. She vaguely recalled the episode, but not enough that it was old news to her, and that was enough to make it tolerable. She watched Pein when he sat down, rolling her eyes at the sight of his reading material.
‘One of these days you’re gonna hafta find a life outside leather an’ blood, Doc…’
The young woman glanced down at the bandages that wrapped around her waist and the scraped bloody knuckles of her hands.
‘Heh, guess I should be sayin that to myself…’
She sighed imperceptibly and looked back at the television, glancing at her companions every once in a while, her gaze never resting in one place too long. It was a behavior that had been drilled into her, a constant state of readiness and willingness, an almost compulsive need to be on the defensive. It wasn’t that she felt either of them was a threat… Well, okay, they were; they were both among the most serious threats she‘d ever known. Despite that, she knew they wouldn’t hurt her. Not in a bad way, at least. She trusted them, if not completely, offering them more than others at the very least.
When it came down to it, she would have to admit that her borderline-paranoid tendencies were made worse around them not because she was defensive around them, but rather the opposite. She was trained to protect the family, to guard them like the loyal hound she was, all bitch puns intended. Naruto and Pein were the ones she ran with, the ones she counted on, the closest thing to a pack that a lone wolf like her could ever really have. Everyone knows it’s the duty of the alpha to protect the pack, and the fact that they were a pair of incorrigible alpha males was a moot point in that regard.
Tsuchi shifted over and leaned sideways against Pein, well aware that, if she lay down on the couch, she probably wouldn’t be able to get back up again, and she was not about to go through that ordeal. Fortunately, the good doctor had always doubled as an excellent pillow, and that hadn’t changed in the time since they’d last met.
‘Knew there was a reason I keep him around…’
She watched the television with little interest, only conscious because of the lingering pain and sheer force of will, the will more so than the pain. Time passed and she relaxed some, shifting now and then to get more comfortable. After a while she kicked off her sneakers and curled her legs up on the couch, her weight still resting against Pein’s side. A short while later she tugged the baton that was digging into her hip out of it’s holster and dropped it in her lap. She did the same with the other, casually keeping them in reach, just in case, ever the paranoid one.

‘He knows who it is… And obviously wants them here, otherwise he wouldn’t be so casual about it…’
The knowledge made her smirk, something distinctly wicked in the depths of her chocolate orbs. Her hand shifted with the remote, her thumb punching in a familiar old numerical code, then proceeding to turn the volume up when a horribly cheesy porno scene appeared on the screen. Sure, it was childish, and nothing compared to what she would normally do, but she was tired, and not quite up for tackling Pein and attempting to force into anything particularly compromising position. As it was, being with a half naked woman with a porno flick on the telly would have to be enough. It probably wouldn’t embarrass him in the slightest, but it would certainly get some kind of reaction, though out of whom she couldn’t quite guess.
She glanced at Naruto, grinning at her own ridiculous stunt.
