JOHN MAYER
last night i saw John Mayer at merriweather. it was very, very good and i'm still thinking back on it and smiling at all of it. he's awesome. a truly gifted musician. and so much of what he comes out with tends to be the anthem of my life when it's released. likely an age thing, but yeah. highly relatable.
...and as i listen to a recent live album of his today at work it just keeps me inside my head, reflecting on things. reflecting on why i haven't posted in over a month, and all that's happened in that time. and i hope for the future because my present is lacking in much-needed happiness. i move in 6 weeks. where to, i still have no clue. but hopefully, with that move, will come a move to a better place metaphorically as well. but even if it doesn't, as john himself said last night:
music reminds us that there is always a possibility to feel better*
and he also said that he plays music for himself just as much as for us. and i like that.
