One of the things I decided on this year was to rebuild certain bridges. It is so easy to lose track of time and realize that you've let relationships die and wither away. Yesterday, my sister Tracy asked to borrow some books. This request delighted me, I must say, as she was never really much of a reader as a child (she’s 19 now). Yesterday, we attended the last day of our childbirth education classes. We have a certificate that states that we’ve completed our sessions, but suddenly, it feels like it was all too short. I was sorting my email boxes and ended up going through a lot of old correspondence. It’s amazing-was I that much in the dumps back then? Could I have been that confused, loitering, drifting, sinking person of a couple of years back?
