Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, for whatever its faults or weaknesses, has really great T-shirts. I meant to grab some before they're gone, but now it seems most of the Really Good Ones are gone. Their fonts are clever. Their old "Warning: President Bush is Hazardous To Women's Health" shirt is sold-out.... I guess they've gone the way of "cute". Bah. PPSD could take a good lesson, though, about Clever Campaigning and Art Strategies. *art-attack plan initiated*:
http://www.plannedparenthood.org/ppgg/shop-27720.htm In other news: this morning I saw The Scam Artist I met a few months back, who spun some story about being from Napa, and needing money to get back home after his car broke down. I caught his eye at the top of the stairs, and he looked back, looked away, looked back. I stood there and watched him, keeping my face neutral. He kinda nervously walked down the stairs, almost looking back, but thinking better of it.
I watched him go into the men's bathroom, which is his "hangout" / base camp between scams. I went to the station agent. Same guy from Wednesday, who'd walked up to the platform and grabbed my bag to keep it safe. I thanked him again. Then I mentioned who the scammer was, and that he's in the men's bathroom right now, and that he tends to pretend he's a lost traveller to scam people out of money. The station agent seemed happy for the heads up.
Woot. Small, personal victory. I will stare him down every time I run into him. I will tell the station agent every time, if it's convenient. :D
