I just finished reading a Murder in Dixie. I give 2 out 5. Its gramatically written well, but highly contrived. The characters need fleshing out and the relationship between the characters seemed forced. This book attempts to tell multiple stories in one making it very frustrating to read. The author could have simplified it and actually had a much better story. Since there were so many poorly developed mini-stories, it dragged on and on in the middle. The ending seem very forced. It seemed like the author was searching for a way to end it. I also believe if there is going to be any pediphilia in a book, it should be declared. I absolutely wasn't expected this in the book and feel very violated that it was added. Yes it is a crime book, but I was expecting a murder mystery not one with a child being abused. I just can't read that stuff. It grosses me out. Now, I will admit it was a very small portion of the book, but I hate it none the less.
