Am I ever this sleep-deprived during the school year?
After being one of the last stragglers (*sob*), I finally left wahleecon late last night, escorted to the airport by Chris & Kelley (I don't think they have an LJ yet) and the amazingly talented and kind lilac_bearry. I thought I would just spend the afternoon and evening chilling at the airport waiting for my flight to board at midnight, but instead Krista generously let us take naps/watch videos in her apartment and then took us to a gorgeous nearby park for picnic dinner. That was such a nice end to the whole wonderful weekend. Meeting people was a lot of fun, and I wish we didn't have to leave after so short a time!
I would do a whole long recap, but after getting about 4 hours of sleep on the plane, leaving the airport at 6 am, ignoring the extremely attractive European guy next to me who kept trying to talk to me and sleeping for an hour instead, finally getting home at 8 am, taking a shower and leaving for class at 9 am, attending class for 3 hours with our WONDERFUL new teacher who is actually a native speaker of Italian (she's our old teacher's wife; they each take half of the course), and making up the quiz and midterm I missed, I think I'd better not. Especially since I probably just used up the last of my energy writing that long and winding paragraph. >.<
Thanks for hosting such a great weekend, wahlee_98 (it feels weird using screennames instead of real names again!) and it was amazing finally getting to meet all of you. I hope we'll see each other again sometime soon.
