Signal fixes get the green light

"L.A. officials Wednesday approved traffic improvements for the car-clogged Westside, including traffic signal upgrades at 361 intersections and the addition of 33 left-turn lights."

Particularly regarding the left-turn lights, that's about time!

Eep! What happened to KMZT? 105.1 seems to be playing country and western now.

I found KMZT's AM presence, but that doesn't work too well while I'm driving, I keep losing the signal. Does anyone know a good backup plan?

There is something to be said for someplace where it's sunny and 70 degrees in the middle of February. Also something to be said for someplace where the sun is still reasonably high in the sky this time of day, this time of year.

Whee! The northbound 405 is closed. Apparently a construction crane fell on it.

I belong to a few LJ communites… I just realised I joined los_angeles because I wanted to ASK questions, but I've just ANSWERED like 3 questions for other people in the past week!

I'm super sleepy today. I was awakened in the middle of the night by what could only have been a high-speed chase on the 405.

Somewhat amusingly, I've had the song "Chasing Cars" stuck in my head since I got up this morning. That part is starting to get a bit old.

Up until now, I haven't really experienced culture shock. Heck, even when I moved to the UK, very few things were shocking to me. Drive on the other side of the road (and the car)? No problem. They eat what?! Cool! Et cetera ( Read more... )
