Teddy was more than a little surpirsed to wake up alone. He crawled out of bed and stumbled out to the kitchen.
No sign of Billy.
He had a feeling, though.
Teddy grabbed a blanket and pulled on his coat before heading to the roof.
Billy was exactly where he expected him to be: sitting on the edge of the roof and staring out at the snow-covered city.
"Babe?"
Billy turned, dislodging some of the snow that had fallen on his shoulders. Bare shoulders, Teddy noted. He was probably going to have a cold later.
"Babe, you can’t sit out here like that. You’ll freeze or get sick."
Teddy brushed the remaining snow off of his shoulders and out of his hair and wrapped the blanked taround him.
"I was watching."
"I know."
"It’s pretty."
"It is. But you can’t sit out here in just your underwear."
Billy took the blanket and pulled it tigher around his shoulders, realizing how cold he really was. His hands were freezing, Teddy noticed, grititng his teeth as their skin touched.
"Let’s go inside, babe. I’ll make coffee."
He slid an arm around his boyfriend and led him back inside, wondering, not for the first time, what his obsession was with snow.
