Dale buried his face in his arms and groaned miserably. Stacey sat across from him and rolled her eyes.
"Dale, the end of our good friend, Mr. Dean’s Halloween candy is not the end of the world," she sighed. "Honestly. You can go to the store and buy the stuff by the bag."
"But it’s not as good!" he whined.
"None of it’s good."
He was silent for a long moment. "At least I didn’t take fashion advice from him."
"Thank God."
"Hey, Stacey?"
"Hm?"
"Can I kiss you?"
"You’re not getting sex just because you are out of M&M’s."
He sighed, defeated, and gave up.
