Tonight is my last night in temporary housing. It's hard to believe that I've been here for one month already. Boy, does time fly! The past month has been great, albeit busy. Work is treating me well, and I'm slowly getting used to the ways of Microsoft. We'll be starting a new product cycle soon, which means I will probably be working a lot of overtime. It's a good thing I got used to that at Symantec!
This past weekend I did some major work on my new apartment. On Saturday I was up until 1 am putting together furniture and setting up bathroom stuff. Today I was supposed to receive my belongings from California, but the moving van was too big to fit through the apartment complex driveway. The movers are going to put my stuff into smaller trucks and deliver everything tomorrow morning instead. Bummer - I was totally looking forward to having all of my stuff today. Oh well. What's another 12 hours, right?
I am taking tomorrow off to receive my delivery, unpack my stuff, and get settled in. Hopefully the weather will be nicer than today (it finally rained!!) because I would rather the movers not dirty the freshly shampooed carpets. I can't wait to be fully moved in. It'll be nice to no longer live out of a suitcase. :)
