Big art post - Veracon Spring 2009 Artist Experience -
Day 1 is over.
Good news, Pelusa, the sick kitty is still alive, but we're still waiting for the bone to recover and the vet is trying to kill the infection that spreaded there, the cat is still hungry and wants to eat even if she has a hole in her mouth, below the tongue, I imagine that if she stops eating, the vet will suggest to put her down, I'm praying so this won't be the case =(
More than 3 days with less than 5 hrs of sleep. Finally the day came and as usual I was late! I had to print some files and my personal cards and it took 1 hr for the guys in the print shop ¬¬ Anyway, I enjoy being there, there's a very nice guy who was impressed on what I do for living ^^
I have to admit that I did spend a big amount of money on the prints. But well, it's the experience what counts, right? Now I have plenty of material for sale, or just to adorn my bedroom, I enjoyed doing each one of those pieces!
Did I make sales? In the matter of fact, yes I did! yay! I sold some stickers and some cards. There wasn't room for making in-site sketching, but hopefully tomorrow will be the day. I might spend all the day drawing and earning some cash if people there wants to spend on original art (wich is not the case usually here >.<) Anyway, tomorrow might be the day that I will be sharing table with other artists since there's a table that noone used today, so we talked about it and this girl, Mary, will ask the organizers if we could use that table for us ^^ So, Mary, Miguel, Charecua, Moni and any other artist will be ablet o be there selling things.
I got to give lots of personal cards, I saw smiles on people's faces looking at my art, even if I just got less than $10 usd on sales today, the expressions on people's faces were just perfect for me. I consider this as my first show, it's exciting and stressing at the same time, very fun!

I knew that this weren't going to sell well, but it's great to see people reacting to them! I was told that I should make hentai, that sells better, but as the artist I am, I prefer to make propositions, not following other's ideas >.<
So here they are, just missing Aries Mu, Taurus Aldebaran, Andromeda Shun and Dragon Shiryu, due lack of time =(

And this is the new art I worked in for this convention, all four in chopping boards, different sizes. Painted with oils and all currently for sale:
