Do you have a pet? Insurance not cover dental/vision/hearing?

Hello there.

Due to the more-than-I-want-to-think-about number of cat illnesses and passings this year (and other animals, too, we know you're out there), I'd like to do a little PSA.

If you've never heard of it, go to http://www.carecredit.com/ and learn about Care Credit.

Find out if your vets and animal emergency hospitals in particular take this card.

If they do, and you qualify, it can be a life saver. Literally.

It was there when Alex's insurance deemed his eye surgery "elective" (don't get me started).
It was there when Potato spent a week in the hospital with urinary crystals (don't get me started on that apartment's tap water, either...).

It was there when we brought Beans to the (emergency) Animal Specialty Group (you know you're in trouble just by the name alone) and they wanted "half the high estimate" just to get started.

The total bill? Over $4800.

We were only able to make this because of the card, which allowed us make payments over two years with low interest.

Can it help you? Find out.
