Nina Simone's 'Ain't Got No/I Got Life' is still being used as a soundtrack to advertise cocking yoghurt. I have long thought this song was about slavery, and inner resilience to oppression. I look forward to Muller's new persimmon and sugar apple product range, advertised by the keening wail of 'Strange Fruit'.
