(no subject)
So on my way home today I was called and told that I no longer had a job. The company I was working for called the temp agency and had them call me to tell me I was let go. I was not given a reason but I'm not really optimistic that I won't look bad in all of this. Last week was really stressful. A few cases were pushing past deadlines because of things like hurricanes, childbirth, and unresponsive clientele. Once things were pushed back for reasons I couldn't control I had to play catch up on various cases which lead to things getting rushed and myself getting extremely stressed. Since I didn't want to throw anybody under the bus I tried to work through it.
The way I figure somebody had to get the axe. Why not the temp? I'm expecting my agent to be unhappy with me tomorrow when they say I was inattentive to details and that I didn't perform to their expectations and I expect to explain I feel like I was put in a position to fail, but it's all pretty fucking meaningless now. There's only so much you can do with limited resources, limited time, and most of all, limited training. I was just starting to get things into a comfortable pace and getting things caught up.
It's really upsetting and really insulting the way it happened. Looks like I'm back to looking for work a few months earlier than I expected.
