moving on up
ooh, new and different layout - interesting.
i'm taking the opportunity to post as my mum and dad are doing grandma and grandpa cuddle duty - freddie and i are round at their house, having dropped the car off at the garage to have a service and MOT. we have moved now, but haven't had the chance to ask around to find a reputable garage in burton, so i've brought winston back here. december is absolutely the worst month for remembering to MOT and tax the car!
things are coming along with the house - there are still piles of things, and various boxes, but we're slowly getting there. yesterday we put some things up in the loft, which made some space, and i need to get an afternoon in the spare room, because there are empty drawers and full boxes, which is frustrating me, because that should be the other way around! there's also a load of stuff to go out to the shed, but it's cold outside, so apathy seems to be getting the better of that.
steve cooked for the first time yesterday, though, which seems to indicate that the kitchen is working ok! the living room is pretty much done, apart from some stuff on the table, and a couple of boxes of miscellaneous stuff, and we still need to decorate the christmas tree - it is up, but at the moment is a little bit sad-looking with only two baubles on! i might do that tonight, depending on when the car is ready.
i'm hoping to get most of the house into order soon, as we're hosting both sets of parents for christmas. i have found the table mats, though, so hopefully we'll be ok :o)
freddie is doing well - he's been a bit grizzly (and screamy - he looks like a little demon when he goes all red and angry, which is hilarious), and i suspect he's hit his 12-week growth spurt early - he did the two-week at a week and a half, and the six week at five weeks, so i guess we're there, now he's eleven weeks. hopefully it won't last too long. he has mostly been sleeping through now, which is very nice - although i never thought i'd be grateful for waking up at 7am! it was 6.30am this morning, but i don't feel too hard done by. he's a lovely little thing really :o)
