I think whether the birthdayee wants chocolate cake or not, the well wishers are entitled to a nice slice of cake! So yay!

Hopefully bud will do the flip in time to make his entrance the proper way!

I'm really afraid I'm going to need a new computer, and fairly soon. This one has decided twice now in two weeks that it was going to give me issues starting up - I have to run the startup thingy and it thinks and thinks and loads and loads and goes back in time and eventually starts. It was better today - last week it took me about 45 minutes to get it started up, today only about 15. I think next week I'm going shopping.......

oh dear - yes, it's always better to get these things sorted before the actual death of an appliance! i lost all my files when my first ever laptop went kaput, but i've managed to pre-empt things (and keep things backed up!) since. steve just got a new computer - he bought lots of components and put it together himself, which worked out cheaper. mine was just cheap to start with, but as i only really use it for email and typing a little netbook is quite adequate for me :o)

if you're going down the netbook route, though, i wouldn't recommend packard bell - the battery only lasted 8 months on mine, and i spent ages trying to get them to replace it, because although there was a 12 month warranty on the computer, there was only a six month warranty on the battery. i did manage to get them to replace it in the end though (lots of snotty letters later one dropped mysteriously through the letterbox), and to be fair this one is still going strong about 14 months later.

Don't worry about the baby turning around. It is what it is. Ya can't worry about something you can't control. Hopefully he will find a comfy spot to chill.

Being outdoors is so healthy for you and the baby. As long as you have a good stroller, you will be out there walking. Are there any stores in (safe) walking distance? It's nice to have a goal, like, "we need milk". Even a walk to the library. My mom used to take Chris to the Library all the time (granted, they drove).

My goal in life is to move to a small town where you can walk to almost any where.

i do like being able to walk places - we're about a mile from two stores here, which is fine for walking there, but walking back with the groceries is a bit harder! we're not going to be too near any shops (i think there's a little corner shop, but that will be pricey), but we will be right by the river, so hopefully some pretty walks to be had.

yeah, we're not too worried - if he turns out to be a c-section that's what we'll have. it's not my first choice, but whatever is best for him is what's important. tbh, i suspect he's not going to turn now - he's measuring at 36cm at 33 weeks (approx three weeks ahead), and 36 weeks is when it becomes unlikely he'll turn by himself, so i suspect he's got himself comfy and has no intention of moving. i do think he's starting to drop a bit now, which could mean he's trying to engage upside down - will have to check that out at my next appointment, but hopefully all it means is that our baby is not too bright just yet ;o)
