Conservatism a cancer.
I know probably some people don't like me, or others, making the Hurricane catastrophe into something political. Nonetheless, the fact remains that during any other presidential administration in the last 60 years, would have been better prepared to deal with this situation. No matter how many excuses you want to make, the fact remains that our unwillingness to be prepared for this catastrophe comes down to politics, and who we elected as our commander and chief, as well as our congressmen.
This "perspective" that so many people out there have, of trying to save only one tree (themselves) while letting the forest burn, is a cancer on society that has to be stopped. It's time for all rational human beings to reject this way of thought in the strongest possible terms, or we will continue to face dire consequences.
