Vid update!

Sep 26, 2011 09:32

Remember what I said about finishing the vid this weekend? Yeaaah, I didn't really think it would happen, either.
BUT I've got a good excuse as to why it didn't go that way! And for me to explain it, I have to reveal part of the mystery surrounding the superseekrit vid:( cut for long vidding rant )

projects, vidding

I did not like it, I didn't really understand it, and I thought it was the most boring sport in the world (after golf. You can't beat golf). I went from coma-induced spectator to raving, obsessed fangirl in a matter of two days.

I totally did this with soccer during the 2002 World Cup (almost after the World Cup actually). xD Not even in a matter of two days, more like in a matter of two minutes. xD

lol but that's exactly what happened to me! I started liking it at the end of the major event. My mom was watching it and she was like "You have to watch this with me! It's fantastic" and I was skeptical, but I said "OK, this looks interesting... It's new and excit--zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz". lol It happened with two matches until, when I was almost done trying, my mom said "No, but watch now! You'll like this guy!" aaaaaand she was right that time. lol DAMN YOU MOM FOR KNOWING ME TOO WELL! *shakey fist* XD

EEEEE! :D My father and my friends were all "the World Cup just started, you should watch it, it's awesome", and I just kept replying that "no, I don't like soccer, I really, really don't like soccer." xD And about 3 weeks into the World Cup I saw a random Fiat ad with Francesco Totti, LOL, and I became the biggest soccer fangirl for years. xD

hahahaha Yeah, the World Cup has that effect on you. I live in Brazil and the World Cup has always been this huuuuuge thing here. I used to love it because each time Brazil played, we'd have a holiday to watch the games (they've only now made that official, which is crazy because it happened all the time). So I had an even bigger reason to root for my country. lol

But I hate soccer. I fall asleep during games, it's soooooo boring. And yet I absolutely love the World Cup. lol I guess that's what I get for being born here. XD

Haha, I had never watched World Cup until I started to love soccer, but later I watched literally everything soccer-related that was on tv. xD It didn't matter at all how obscure the teams were and if I didn't even know one player, LOL. And then, before the next World Cup in 2006, I stopped watching and liking it altogether because of some silly angsting and drama... soccer became a (not very related) symbol of it so I dropped it for my emotional well-being, heh. So, I absolutely LOVED the sport for almost 4 years and yet I didn't actually watch one full World Cup. xD But Brazil is ridiculously awesome when it comes to the soccer love and atmosphere, so I totally get that you watch it even when you don't cate about the sport. :D

lol! Oh so your story had a beginning and an end? lol That's interesting. :)
And you didn't watch the last World Cup, then? Well, it was probably for the better, that one was a bit of a mess all around. lol Though it was fun because it was completely unpredictable (for those of us who are NOT psychic cephalopods, of course. RIP, Paul).

Yeah, it's a really nice atmosphere here when we have a World Cup. It's like the nation comes together, which really does not happen often. Even if it means we come together to complain about the coach. XD But it's awesome, when Brazil scores a goal, you can hear the roars no matter where you are. Kind of scary, but awesome. :)

I only watched last World Cup's final with my niece, because she had an epic crush on Fernando Torres. xD It was exciting because she was obviously super excited about it and it was infectious. :D (And also a bit because I missed Iker Casillas' face, heh. He used to play my brother in some silly Mary Sue parody stories we made up with friends back in 2003. ;)) Aw, Paul. I was relieved that he wasn't eaten. :P

Hee, Polish people only watch soccer together to complain. xD But for at least 30 years our team has been losing everything there is to lose, lol, so it's understandable that there are no big parties or anything. ;D
