The Big How To Kill Devil May Cry

Oct 25, 2010 00:02

DmC was introduced as a reboot of Devil May Cry, but new interviews are progressively leaning towards "prequel", leaving such wording as "alternative" and "retelling" out. The trend of each new tidbit of info being worse than previous one continues - so now they're thinking of appending this piece of shit to the original storyline?! Ninja Theory ( Read more... )

fucking shit, fail, devil may cry

I'm not surprised either. It would placate many casuals who are into DMC for shallow reasons like "Dante's hot".

Most people gave up on this game. There's no new DMC game in the works. We refuse to acknowledge it. :p
I'm pissed because Capcom/NT are shitting all over DMC story while claiming to be "improving" it. You can't improve a story by making a fucking fuckton of fucking plot holes. That's so fucking retarded.

Tony Redgrave had white hair... I don't mind hair dye, but Donte would have to get rid of colored contact lenses, get plastic surgery and chop off top 3 inches of his crack head to start looking like Dante.

14 - so you can't jump from 7 stories because you don't have high pain tolerance...? Like, really? You'd be fine with anesthetic first?
Anybody capable of jumping like that and staying in one piece needs stronger body structure, healing factor and body resistance, or a combination of those. If Donte's body is capable of shrugging off the impact of crashing into ground from 50 ft, the only way he could get those bruises would be getting a haircut with lawnmower and a chainsaw while dancing pogo on crack. And even then they should heal fast enough.

Either way I don't buy that "awakened to his powers" bull. Canon Dante had powers from the very start. He just lacked the motivation to become a dedicated demon hunter. He needed psychological start, not physical/physiological.

Well, it ain't that bad of a reason in this case.

Ehm, I was talking only about hair ^^; The rest is indeed retarded.

14 - he's still fictional character ^^; Look at Lady, she's human, and look at all those stunts in DMC3. Plus, does he have bruises on his feat?

I know, I know...

Thankfully there are more people on Capcom boards who are against it being a prequel. :D I don't feel so alone.

Okay, agreed. xD I can live with hair dye.

Does he have bruises on his what? ^^'

I don't think opposition will work ^^;

Sory, I mean "feet" as he most likely lands on his feet from jumping that building. Face it, games aren't realistic.

Nevermind, it just feels good to know that I'm not the only one raging and that there exist other people on this world who care about DMC story :D

Feet? From freaking 7 stories? His legs should end up right in his brain. If he can bruise, he shouldn't be able to withstand the impact of jumping from a bloody building.
Have you seen interview from NT in which they talked how they want to make it more realistic? Well, it may be that to them games should be realistic... Not that their failure of a trailer was realistic.

Oh, yeah, there was something about being realistic, but it's still games world, so I guess realistic feeling is a bit handicap ^^;

Realistic games would suck :P Simulators are realistic; I have seen only one person playing them for fun XD And he's a bit of a... nerdy geeky freak :D (He scares me.)

Either way NT sucks :D Bob fails at healing factor and their E&I (sic) shoot slower than real life revolvers. REAL double action revolvers. Btw you can check speed loading on Youtube, there's a vid of a champion cop shooting a revolver in lightning speed. After seeing this I am able to suspend my disbelief in Nero's loading cutscene XD
