The Big How To Kill Devil May Cry
DmC was introduced as a reboot of Devil May Cry, but new interviews are progressively leaning towards "prequel", leaving such wording as "alternative" and "retelling" out. The trend of each new tidbit of info being worse than previous one continues - so now they're thinking of appending this piece of shit to the original storyline?! Ninja Theory think of themselves as master storytellers, but they have absolutely no respect for others' stories. Making DmC canon (wat) would create a shitload of plot holes and inconsistencies... Fuck you NT, anybody who could even consider merging a plotline with obvious contradictions with original story that they know nothing about (did they even read Wikipedia summaries?) is an ultimate sore loser in my book. You just lost the very last objective bit of credibility left.
A quick taste of what DmC the "prequel" would have to solve:
1) How did Dante's facial structure and body build change between DmC and DMC3? Did he get a plastic surgery? ... what about body build?
2) Why is Donte 6'2" tall in DmC? Dante is 5'11" in DMC3 and 6'1.2" in DMC4! How did he shrink?
3) Why Donte smokes if Dante is a declared non-smoker?
4) Why Donte's hair is turning white if Dante was born with white hair?
5) Why Donte's eyes are brown while Dante has blue?
6) Donte was born in 1989, but Dante is 29 in 2001. DMC3 takes place around 1991. Does it mean the Donte in the trailer is *gasp* 2 years old?!
7) How did he go from British to American?
8) How did he forget he had demon powers even though he knew it ever since he was little?
9) What the hell happened to Rebellion?
10) Where the hell is Dante's half of the amulet?
11) Why Donte's hair is black/brown if his father had white and his mother was blond?
12) Why is he using the name Dante if he should be going by Tony Redgrave at that time?
13) Are those pea-shooters Ebony and Ivory? Is Donte even ambidextrous? He's pulling the triggers simultaneously... just like single-handed people do when they have to use both hands.
14) Why Donte is covered with bruises but still capable of jumping from great heights? Is he healing or not?
15) And remember, no Devil Trigger in this game!
16) Why did the technology fast-forward to sci-fi DMC2-esque feel when it's back to 90's later?
