Ok, i missed again yesterday, but i finally got some responses. Thanks !!
On Monday, after work, i decided it was tme to get the MINI funning again for the summer. I had tried it the other day and it would not start. :( So after consulting several people at work and the repair manual I took apart the distributor and cleaned that, I checked the spark plugs and still no go. :( I was getting spark but no fuel. I decided that I would be best to remove the entire carburator, and disassemble it. This seemed like a much bigger job than it turned out to be. Actually it was pretty easy. Took it all apart, cleaned it and put it back together in about 45 minutes.
So Today after work, I put the carbourator back on , connected the fuel lines and cables. And low and behold .... vroom vroom vroom :)
Took the MINI out for a ride around town, to bells, and now I am at the Fine Grind. Having ..... a cupcake!! :) and a mocha breve (my new favorite) You can go wrong with half and half, espresso, and chocolate.
So this bring me to the topic of discussion for today. The concept of "Every one Wins" or the converse "No one looses"
This subject came to mind while siting at my nephews little league game on Saturday. They did not keep score, there were no strike-outs, only one base on a hit, and if everyone got a chance at bat, the inning was over. No winner, no loser, no competition, just bland.
This attitude seems to be very previlent in todays society with kids. Everyone seems to be completely free of competition. This seems completely opposite to the adult world. Are we going to be doomed to a world of whiney adults with no drive to acheive?
I believe that this attitude is mostly an "American" attitude. I don't think this is a world wide phenonomum. America is going to be left in the dust if we keep this up.
I was going to go into parralels between unions, kids, and socialism, but i want to think a little more about how I really feel before posting.
Thanks to you who have posted so far, and please keep it up, tell your friends, tell your mom, tell your dog
