Biweekly Post

I guess I never got around to posting last week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  I think I was being extra lazy.  Heh.  Now I am going to try and catch up on some of the highlights from the past two weeks:
  • The Sunday before Thanksgiving was fairly busy.  We went out to brunch with Steve's family and then surprised Jack with a PS3 for his birthday.  Later, we headed down to Boston to meet up with Ham and Rebecca.  We went to see my favorite comedian, Jim Gaffigan.  It was a great show!  He had a lot of new jokes plus some classic material (Hot Pockets..heh).
  • I was sooo glad to have a long Thanksgiving weekend.  I got to relax a little, but we were actually pretty busy.  We went out to Holyoke for Thanksgiving.  It was nice visiting with my family.  It was pretty low-key.  We ate and played a board game.  I helped my mom around the house on Friday and then we headed home on Friday night.  On Saturday night, we went to an "anti-reunion" party with some of Steve's friends from Methuen.  Most of us had decided to forgo our traditional reunions to get together with people we actually care about.  We went to Grand China in Salem.  We had a good time catching up and hanging out.  Finally, we spent most of Sunday decorating our house for Christmas (both inside and outside).  I was pretty exhausted by the end of the day, but happy that we got everything done.
  • Now I am a bit nervous about getting all of my Christmas shopping done.  I really hate the crowded stores on the weekends so I have been trying to order gifts online.  I have also been going to the stores on my way home from work when there are less crowds.  I guess this will work.  I wish that it didn't have to be so stressful. Three weeks till Christmas!
