It's two months into the school year and I am really craving a vacation. I don't think it helps that it's November (such a blah month) and I have to do progress reports this week. There is so much to do in so little time. I hope that I get everything taken care of by Friday. Here's what I've been up to:
- Halloween was a pretty good day. We had 17 groups of trick-or-treaters come by the house so we were pretty busy. Trick-or-treating ended at 7:00 (Is it just me or is that a little early for trick-or-treating to end?) and then Steve and I watched a scary movie called "30 Days of Night". I thought it was pretty good, but Steve wasn't too impressed with it.
- I was pretty lazy for most of the day Saturday. We headed down to Ham's place in Cambridge around dinnertime. We were meeting him and Rebecca for dinner. We tried going to a Szechuan place for dinner, but it was closed so we end up going to the Cambridge Brewing Company. It was pretty earthy-crunchy place for a brewery, but I guess it was Cambridge after all. After dinner, we played some board games back at Ham's place. It was a fun, low-key night.
- I finally forced myself to get some work done on Sunday afternoon. My paperwork has been out of control lately, especially with progress reports due. We ended up going out to dinner with Steve's parents. We haven't seen much of them lately since they have been busy getting his mother's parents settled into their house. It was good to catch up with them.
- I was glad that I could get out to vote this time around (I was sick during the primaries.). I was even happier about the outcome. Maybe there is some hope for this country.
