It's crazy how the month of September went by so fast. I guess that happens when you have a lot going on. It doesn't look like October is going to be much quieter either. As much as I like the summer, I have always been a fan of cozy October nights. It's not too cold outside, but there is a small chill in the air that makes baking a batch of cookies or lighting up a candle that much more enjoyable. Our Halloween party is also coming up in a few weeks. We sent out an eVite for it last week and I am hoping that we hear back from more people soon because our turnout doesn't look too promising (*hint hint* to the three people who read this). Anyway, on to my weekly blurbs:
- I haven't been hating my job as much this year. Things have been falling into place (mostly). However, a few roadblocks have popped up this week. One of them has been a new student who they didn't bother telling me about until Monday. I went to his meeting today and I had to pretend that I have been seeing him. I hate lying to people and I am very bad at it too. Then I tried scheduling him and I can't find anywhere to put him in my schedule. Very frustrating.
- Rainy weekends aren't my favorite, but we tried to make the best out of this past weekend. On Saturday, we went into Boston with Heather to go to the Museum of Fine Arts. Steve and I had never been there before so we thought it would be cool. It was also free museum day so that was an added bonus. We didn't realize until we got there that we needed an actual pass to get into the museum for free. We made the journey to Northeastern library (across the street) and printed out the passes there. We ended up saving $50 between the three of us so it was worth it. Oh yeah, the museum was great too. I would go back there again on a day that I had more time (We only had an hour and 45 minutes to look around before the museum closed.). The worst part of the day was cramming into the T like sardines with everyone else trying to escape from the rain. I swear that I am slightly agoraphobic. After that, we headed to dinner at a restaurant in Reading that Heather recommended. The name of the restaurant escapes me, but there was plenty of Italian food and martinis (Who can beat that?). I would definitely go back there again.
- Steve and I decided to have a lazy day on Sunday. We watched a movie and hung around. We didn't leave the house except to have dinner at his parent's house and to go grocery shopping.
- I am looking forward to the sunny weekend ahead. I am hoping that we can take care of some yard work and go apple picking.
