As usual, the grunt work at the clinic falls to this Kanda, the apprentice medic. He's posting flyers around the Dressing Room.

Hn. You know the guy who single-handedly used TWENTY units of Reever blood? It's a fucking record...

Good. If you want to do it right now, I can take care of it.

[smirk] Reevers have good veins, I can stick one with my eyes closed.

I've never tried to stick a Reever with my eyes closed. I save that bullshit for practicing on myself.

Come on. [turns toward the clinic]

[They get to the clinic and Kanda points to a chair near the door. He starts rummaging through a drawer and pulling things out.]

Are you going to freak out if you see a needle?

[She goes over and sits in the chair]

I considering I'm going to do this for a friend..no. But then again, I'm not all that scared of needles.

[smirk] Good. I can't do that "calm people down by talking nice" bullshit that the nurses do.

[Kanda pulls her arm out straight and straps on a tourniquet, then puts on gloves]

Saying "shut the fuck up" usually makes things worse.

[She chuckles] Well most nurse are trained for that or it's in thier nature.

[She sighs and waits for it to be done]

Especially, if they are the panicky kind/

[Kanda smears iodine on her arm, carefully pushes a needle in, tapes it down, and hangs the collection bag on the side on the chair. He nods in satisfaction and pulls off the tourniquet.]

It's fucked-up to find out which people are panicky, too. Some people don't blink at battlefield injuries, but lose their shit over a tiny tube of sterile metal.

[She lets out a breathe and watches as the blood slowly move into the collection bag]

[She nods] Yes, you'd never think that a little more needle is more terrifying than facing hordes of monsters bent on destroying humanity. Though ther are some that are bother more by the blood than the needle.

[She nods]

Yes, I've meet a few people back home that aren't afraid of the Akuma but are more terrified of blood itself...It's probably the fact the sight of blood trigger repressed or bad memories...
