[it's been hard for Lavi to really go out much since his experience with Cyril - the effects of that are long-lasting and even now he finds it difficult to be around people too much. But he's trying hard to get past that - and today, there's a couple of people he really wants to find

[It's still so hard to find the Lavi he knows but Allen can tell him apart now. The notepad is a dead giveaway.]

Lavi!

[He catches up to his friend, offering a friendly smile.]

Are you looking for something?

[write_silence]

[flinches when Allen calls his name, but when he turns to look at the other boy he's smiling, and flips his notepad open, not even slowing down as he quickly scrawls a reply and holds it out for Allen to read]

A couple people I wanted to see. You were one, actually.

[He reads the note, his smile not disappearing.]

Sure, what did you need me for? I haven't had much to do around here except for explore. I didn't find anything really interesting...

[He wrinkles his nose.]

Nothing worth keeping, anyway. A whole room full of garbage isn't something I'd expect in a place like this.

[write_silence]

[makes a face] You can expect to find almost anything here, really... maybe sometime I could show you some of the nicer places I've found.

[he's had plenty of time to do a lot of exploring of his own, after all]

[write_silence]

[Lavi nods back a little shyly. He still feels pretty grateful to Kanda for saving his butt from that Akuma, and he goes for his notepad to 'say' so before pausing, wondering if Kanda would even care to stop and read something he'd already said at the time]

[write_silence]

[startled, Lavi nods before he can think twice about it, and quickly flips his notepad open to write before turning it to face Kanda]

Thank you very much for what you did before. With the Akuma. I've been doing some research on them and on Exorcists, so now I know how dangerous that really was.

[Sorry if he's looking for 'Tias. She'll have a post up soon.

But Allen stops down the hall where he is and lifts his head, moving the hood back.]

Lavi? Are you alright? [Myka and Tim are missing but Allen has a kitten with him this time, an all black one named Kila.]

[write_silence]

[He's not looking for her specifically, more the people he hasn't seen in a while - and when he realizes what Allen this is, he smiles faintly and nods. His golems recognize Allen, too, and Damaris flies excitedly over to greet him and investigate the kitten; Lavi follows at a slightly slower pace, toying with his pen]

[He laughs as the golem gets near and Kila paws at it, she's too used to them to chase anymore. Allen however takes a few steps toward Lavi's direction to give her and Damaris bonding room.]

It's good to see you again, I'm glad you're alright.

[write_silence]

[Lavi nods again, then writes something quickly and holds out the notepad]

How have you been?

...Always have that backpack, huh.

[write_silence]

[starts a little at the voice, then smiles faintly and nods, shifting it on his shoulders a little. It's heavy, but he doesn't even think about it anymore.]

[Looking briefly guilty for startling.] Why? If I might ask.

[write_silence]

[clicks his pen open and writes quickly in the notepad, then holds it out for Tyki to read] It has things I don't feel comfortable leaving where anyone could find them.

[Yanno, if Lavi was thinking straight, he would remember that Silent is not a fan of phsyical contact. That Silent did not like surprises, sudden noises, or anything of the sort]

[But Lavi has not seen Silent for so long. Almost two months to be exact. And he has been so worried. So very very worried. So against his better judgement (or any judgement at all really), he's going to wrap his arms around him in a clinging, desperate hug]

You're back...

[write_silence]

[That first moment of contact, the surprise and shock of being hugged so suddenly, with no warning - it makes Lavi stiffen and make a small sound of panic, eye wide and heart racing, instantly in 'flight' mode.]

[But then he calms down a little and realizes who it is... and there's the sound of his notepad and pen hitting the floor as he hugs Lavi back just as tightly as he's being hugged, resting his forehead on his friend's shoulder and trembling just a little with relief and adrenaline.]

[Gently patting him on the back as he tries to tug him closer. Oh, Silent, he was worried. So very very worried about you]

I'm sorry... I'm sorry that I didn't find you sooner.

[write_silence]

[Just shakes his head and clings tighter. He doesn't want to pull away to sign right now - there's time enough later to tell Lavi it's not his fault, that he'd been hiding, that he'd been terrified to see anyone but all this time he'd been thinking of him. Right now he just wants to stay like this for a while.]
