[For all those interested, that project from a few days ago is finally done. Kanda has managed to transform one of the kitchens into a small cafe-- a quiet, quaint thing with soft green walls, deep red trim, and plants just about everywhere (courtesy of one of the Allens). There's a framed menu of sorts on the wall-- it's more a recommended list of

[He pokes his head out of the kitchen.]

Idea's to organize the dishes, not break 'em!

[Kanda sighs in exasperation and sets the soup to simmer, grabbing the broom and a first aid kit from the cabinet.]

You cut yourself? Tch.

[Just standing outside of the cafe, really. Reading the menu with his two cats in his arms, the bigger one protests so he puts her down and holds the kitten close. She'll stay close to him anyway, always has.]

[Kanda's busy cooking, but whatever he's making smells absolutely delicious. It smells toasty, warm, and just a little bit spicy. Wonder what it could be.]

[Sob. After hardly eating anything for the past two days - they just got shoved into Wonderland - Lavi's stomach is growling and Autumn is pawing at his leg.]

I know... I just hope you two don't get me kicked out... [Taking a few steps into the cafe, looking around.]

[Kanda looks up at them and raises an eyebrow.]

Keep 'em to the back and out of the way.

[Don't worry too much. He's one of those that feeds all the strays in town.]

[Whistles when he walks in]

Wow, you really are taking this cooking thing to a whole 'nother level.

[Kanda looks up from whatever he was doing and shrugs.]

It's nothing compared to what I had.

[Slides up to the counter and pulls up a chair so he can chat with Kanda a bit more easily]

Can I have the house special?

[Kanda gets this glint in his eye. He's obviously been wanting to try something.]

...Spicy or sweet?

[Walking in he marvels at the place. He didn't expect to find a small cafe in the dressing room.]

[Such a cozy place, too.]

Can I take your order, old man?

[Kanda calls from the stove, hair pulled back in a low tail to keep it out of his face and out of the food.]

[Reading over that menu now, plus the little note at the end. It's been a while since she's had grilled meat...]

[He can make several kinds of it, too, judging by the smells coming from the interior.]

[Mmmmm. She might already be drooling a little.

Going up to the counter. And if there's a bell she'll probably ring it an annoying number of times, just because she knows it's a Kanda running this place.]

[No bell. Kanda just looks up from his stove--with a bewildering variety of spices and foods set aside for his black hole assistant.]
