So absorbed, that he probably wouldn't notice anyone come up to him until it was too late too hide his guilty pleasure of a pasttime

[Normally Kanda wouldn't bother with a Lavi, especially one busy with reading (and not bothering him). But this one he knows, and he still hasn't told him Alma delivered the gift.

So he approaches, leaning to try and get a look at the cover first. Cue raised eyebrow.]

[Briefly looks up at Kanda. Yeah, was expecting to see you again... well never, to be quite honest. Closes the book so he can get a closer look at the cover]

Romance novel, yeah.

[One that Lavi was probably going to recommend to Kanda's Alma once he was done reading it]

[Eyebrow going up further into his bangs. What kins of literature is this even.] The stuff you share with Alma?

[Yeah, he knows about that now.]

[Why does he feel like he's getting scolded? He doesn't think he did anything wrong]

[Because he's paranoid and insecure. I mean.

A grunt.] Right. I got your gift.

[Closes the book and hands it to Kanda]

You want to give this to Alma for me then? I'm sure she'll like it.

[Blinks before reaching to take it. Definitely not going to open it, though.] All right.

[Smiles and sits up on the cough, brushing invisible dust from his pants before he gets to his feet]

Did you need anything else from me, Kanda?

Not really. [He'll probably just go deliver the book to Alma's room and then go on his way.]
