So absorbed, that he probably wouldn't notice anyone come up to him until it was too late too hide his guilty pleasure of a pasttime

[Jumps and looks up at Yuu. Oh hey, there. When did he get here...? He blinks back his shock after a few seconds, and his face settles into its normal friendly grin]

I'll tell you when you're older.

[Normally he would say "I'm older than you," but. not the cause with this Lavi. So just have an eye roll instead. Usual Spy behavior!]

[A bit of a smug smirk at that as he turns back to his reading]

Though I might be able to recommend you something a bit tamer, yeah.

[Though considering the covers on some of his other romance novels, this one was quite tame!]

[Now wait a minute. Lavi didn't know a lot of Tykis in the Dressing. Even less that would be so civil and even friendly with him. But it couldn't be who he thought it was. Yuu was certain that he had gone home]

[walking over and peering at Lavi, trying to figure out if he's the one he knows. doesn't seem to be, buuuut... now leaning over the back of the sofa to peer at that book.]

[Oh hey. An Alma. The Alma that Lavi knows well really likes romance novels. Maybe it's a universal Alma thing]

[Closes the book (thank goodness for perfect memory so he doesn't have to dogear the page he was on) and hands it up to Alma over the couch]

Take a look for yourself, yeah.

[takes it and starts to read.] What? ... but what does that mean? [tilting his head, and the book along with it. skipping ahead a few pages.] ... but I don't - I mean, how...?

[Tries to get the book back] Hey now! You can't just skip to the good parts, yeah. Otherwise you won't get all the good build-up before the two of them actually kiss.

[Normally Kanda wouldn't bother with a Lavi, especially one busy with reading (and not bothering him). But this one he knows, and he still hasn't told him Alma delivered the gift.

So he approaches, leaning to try and get a look at the cover first. Cue raised eyebrow.]

[Briefly looks up at Kanda. Yeah, was expecting to see you again... well never, to be quite honest. Closes the book so he can get a closer look at the cover]

Romance novel, yeah.

[One that Lavi was probably going to recommend to Kanda's Alma once he was done reading it]

[Eyebrow going up further into his bangs. What kins of literature is this even.] The stuff you share with Alma?

His body simply responded by instinct. Cupping her cheek in his hand, he slowly lowered his face to hers, their eyes never breaking contact. There was plenty of time for her to pull back, or even just turn her head and reject his kiss, but she didn’t. Then his lips touched hers and time hung suspended. She was soft, so very soft. His hand tightened on her waist as his lips moved against hers.
