Living in a Gangster's Paradise

I've been avoiding my main houses because, well I know Gen's 2 time is running short and I'm going to have to let Chris and Dylan go. Looking at their Life bars I would say that they should both just make it to the end of spring and we are now midway through winter. But anyway, my point was that I got back to Apollo's house for the first time ( Read more... )

I've had Sims switch Aspiration after installing a new EP; LTW's not that bad to fix. If you want to try getting Orpheus's original LTW back but don't want to use up charge after charge on the RenuYu Orb, get ahold of the Lot Debugger or the InSimenator; they both have options to cycle through LTWs. It'll make getting his back way less annoying. Trust me; I had to do it with a good portion of my neighborhood.

Plus, Lot Debugger and InSimenator are useful tools to have around.

I'm a bit scared of the lot debugger and insiminator to be honest...I think I have the lot debugger.zip sitting on my desktop but I haven't installed it yet because I'm not sure what it does and it came with a 'can make your game explode in a fiery ball visible from space' warning...I definitely do trust you though, anyone who can rebuild an entire hood from explosion is clearly some sort of technological demi-god.

Where would I get this InSimenator of which you speak though? I don't think I've seen it...Help?

The fiery ball from space thing... I think Pescado puts that on all his mods/hacks things. If you are in debug mode and shift click the debugger, there are some options to blow things up. Don't click on anything you can't translate to English (Frobnicate, anyone?) and you'll be okay. It comes with a handy dandy readme, it's not so scary.

Insim is the one that scares me. I use the Sim Blender as it's supposed to do almost everything that Insim does (simbology.net I think) but you get Insim at it's website. Insimenator dot something. Gosh, I'm helpful.

I second the vote on the Lot Debugger. It's handy for getting rid of pages of 'Met Aria', 'Met Goopy', 'Met So Andso', for one. And you can change the LTW, like DocNerd said. I think it's something about installing BV, I had a few career LTWs change when I installed it.

Or maybe Orpheus has awoken to the dark side's future...

Yeah, I originally downloaded the lot debugger to help with potential crashing but I chickened out on installing it because...I'm technilogically a coward that way.
Insiminator comes from where exactly? And how do these things work for that matter? Is it fairly obvious?

Augh. I seriously can't see Orpheus as a Criminal, if only because he'd look silly in the outfit (which suits Aria to perfection but that's another issue) I think Gamer suits him much better :)

The Insiminator comes from insiminator.net, and they can help you with all your technical questions there, but I'm going to go with docnerd and morecaffeine on this one and recommend MATY's lot debugger. I promise it is not as scary as the warnings make it out to be- in fact, I'd venture a guess that your game is safer WITH it than without ( ... )

Hmmm, Boolprop probably more likely to bork up my game isn't it? Groovy, Lot Debugger it is then. Thanks everyone :)

I 100% agree with Doc- The Lot Debugger is Your Friend. You can reroll or cycle LTW's, and Deleting Memories is a god-send for those of us with immortal Sims. *nods*

I want to see more of the Days! I love the way you wrote them, LOL, Valentine was a hoot! :D

:) Thanks I'm glad you like the days. Twins shall be taking part in some future updates I think. Lol. I will pass the message on to Valentine, although I'm pretty sure he doesn't need more of an inflated ego ;)...
I actually have to get around to playing the Days as well as the Lawsons and Youngs to line up with the Kings/Bohemians so I will probably be marathon playing them into winter soon.
Although last time I played the days Avri got a bad chance card and got fired which is a pain :?

Lol! Ok! I surrender! Lot Debugger it shall be then. But in the morning, when I'm more awake and not as likely to click something stupid....;)

Add me to the chorus about the lot debugger. :) It's a life saver for a myriad of little things. Changing a LTW is just one of them.

As far as the spontaneous smustle, I have a fix from either MATY or TwoJeffs that essentially prevents sims from breaking into dances without a radio. They MUST be in a room with a radio to start dancing. I think BV 'broke' smustling when they fixed it so sims could do it autonomously. By setting it up so that sims could do it autonomously, they somehow also coded them to do it any time there was music 'somewhere' on the lot.

I'll look into my hacks folder and see which one of the code gurus made it.

Groovy, thanks Orikes I appreciate it, the Smustling is driving me a tad nuts.

Since the postman has decided now would be a good time to wake me up anyway (I know I needed my French Naturalisation forms but did I really need them this early?) I figure now is as good a time as any to go install the lot-debugger, and possibly back up the hood first...

The smustle fix hack I have is from Dizzy, but I can't find out where it is. Huh. I'm pretty sure I got it at MATY, but I think Dizzy pulled all his/her hacks from there. And I can't find it at Simlogical.

If you want it, let me have your e-mail address and I'll send it as an attachment. It's really small.

Dizzy has a sort of Directors Cut at The Laden Swallow. The smustle fix is in it, as well as for the other dances, if I remember...

You can get it at http://www.nectere.net/smf/index.php?topic=1140.0 but be sure to get the right pack, of course.
