thank GOD it's friday
this has been one hell of a week.
my fingers are gnawed to bleeding. ouch.
returning to work after student teaching may not happen. nothing is official but, well, we all know how that works. you hear a little whisper in your ear and you just wait for the guillotine to whack your income from your checking account. not that i've got an income at the moment anyway...
so i've been spending all of my time getting things together to apply to schools. i was going to do this regardless, of course. i was thinking that the application process would hold little stress because i wouldn't really have to worry if i got a job or not. see, i was expecting to have one regardless. hello curveball of life. now if i don't get a job teaching, i won't have a job. awesome. i have just about everything that i need for applications. i have notified my references. i have received my letters of intent from school. i have my transcript copies. i came home tonight and spent my friday happy hours completing my resume and cover letter. i feel like a ton of bricks was lifted off of my shoulders just by completing those. it's fabulous. my resume looks good and i'm actually pleased with my cover letter. i got three quarters of the way through one application and decided to hang it up for the evening. these application processes are BRUTAL. it took me almost an hour to get most of the way through one and that is the basic information not the questions that actually want my ideas on teaching. whew.
i'm looking forward to heading to the tivo and watching top chef and hell's kitchen from this week. tivo is my saving grace these days...mindless television. couldn't live without it right now!
