errrrrg.
i taught three classes in a row today. it was fun :) i'm looking forward to tomorrow despite the fact that we are spending each period in the library...booooring.
i am starting to panic a bit about getting my resume pulled together. i have pretty much everything done aside from a catchy professional statement and a cover letter. cover letters KILL ME. ugh. why is it so hard to write good things about yourself? or at least, it is difficult for me. my professor said my rough draft looks good but that i need to do something to it to make it 'eye catching'. seriously. other than adding dorky teacher borders or something, i'm at a loss. i guess i will play around with fonts and resume templates. i think it would be a waste of time for me to do something crazy creative and spend a bunch of money on them. i also need to get some of my lessons and quizzes together to put into a completed teaching portfolio. alas, i have not kept on top of my portfolio over the last year. which is pretty out of character for me because i am usually completely anal about my school stuff! anyway, i was planning on spending the next couple/few weeks getting all of this pulled togther since the job fairs don't begin until the end of march. well. little did i know that frisco and mckinney have received so many applications that they are NOT EVEN HAVING ANY. what the heck? i'm starting to freak that i won't get in the game early enough to get a job for the fall. i'm hoping that i will have a leg up at the school i am student teaching in and therefore get a job there. commence praying to God for a good teaching job in the fall and the energy to get everything done before it's too late...
