It's nighttime. It's late. Darkness envelopes the building and the only sources of light in the room are a few softly glowing lamps scattered here and there, and because of this, the shadows are long and plenty, especially those in the corners of the room where the light can't quite reach.

If anyone is paying close attention to those corners (or if anyone is even awake at this time of night), they might hear a soft rustling noise, like that of a breeze blowing through curtains, before a girl seemingly steps out of thin air. Her skin is pale, her hair is dark, and her eyes are older than the rest of her; she's pretty, but the eerie sort of pretty that sends chills running down your spine the entirely wrong way. At times, she seems a little insubstantial and shadowy, but her form is clearly that of a human.

As it is, she's currently comfortably arranging herself on the armrest of one of the more secluded couches, not because she's shy, but because it happens to be one that's the furthest away from any lamps. She gives a cat-like stretch, then a lazy wave. "Hi. 'm Layla, and it's nice to meet you all. 've been around, but it's about time I finally decided to show myself."

Typist: Daughter of Cecy Elliot and Tom. She's mainly -- shadowy. It's difficult to explain, but you definitely won't find her around during the day. (And if I respond during the day, just pretend it's continued from a night!thread.)
