Loki talks to Set about Horus. Um. Not good things. Set gone wild in my head without Loki as a buffer is not a good thing. *wince*
Set: Loki...
Loki: *just looks at him* What?
Set: ... you heard about Horus?
Loki: Yeah.
Set: *shrugs* I don't know what to do. He's such an idiot. *shakes his head* Loki, he trusts me. Not even you trust me. Even Ash knew better than to trust me.
Set: ... I don't suppose we could have this conversation with me in your lap...? *hesitant, confused-worried-and-lost glance*
Loki: ...No. We can't.
Set: *nods, looking down at the floor, waiting*
Loki: You're right, I don't trust you. But maybe I've come to close to it. I believed you when you said you loved him, and then I believed you when you said you cared. I was wrong.
Set: *glares* I do care. And in my better moments, I do love him.
Loki: *shakes his head* You used him, that was all.
Set: Yes, repeatedly, I have. *still glaring* And I'm trying to keep from doing it again. Why do you think I broke up with him?
Set: I care enough about him that I don't want him hurt. I don't want him twice broken, once because of what I'll do to him, and twice because he trusts me and expects me to protect him. I want him kept away from me, because I'm worried of what I might do to him.
Loki: You tired of him. And you broke him anyway. I don't think you can stop hurting him, and so in the end, you're right.
Loki: But how long are you going to stay away this time, Set?
Set: *bitterly, still glaring* I didn't tire of him, I finished with him.
Set: Because he was of no further use to me.
Loki: Then you shouldn't have started with him. *has nothing to say to the last comment, so turns around and walks out*
