Murph stands at 5'4”, with pale skin tanned from long years spent in the sun and brown hair bleached by sun and chemicals and will into a dirty blonde. His hair is shoulder length and cut into choppy layers. He rarely bothers to really fix it into a great style, but his father in him means that is usually sits in a way not so terrible, even after sleep. His right leg ends dead well above where the knee should be, with ragged scars reaching almost to his crotch and hip. His body, including his good leg and his arms, is covered in tattoos somewhere between blue and black, which might be caught offering the faintest of glows in darkness, less even than starlight. The tattoos are found in a variety of symbols and shapes, nothing that looks like a simple picture; all of it has the feeling of being a component of the larger pattern, and they are all, every one, spell forms. His eyes are dark and slanted, as of most born in the Orient, and his features are more delicate than manly, from his jaw and cheeks to his shoulders and even his hips. Nevertheless, seen shirtless, he is well muscled from a lot of physical work done for many years, and his good leg is well toned, too, from as many years of wandering from place to place on foot more often than not. His first goal in Veles will be acquiring some glasses, given the fact that he has...trouble...seeing without them; once he has them, they will be worn nearly all the time.
The other, perhaps startling, part of his appearance is rare, especially in Veles. His human body may occasionally be surrounded by what appears to be a light mist. It shifts colours when in a 'cloud' like that, and if the colours are shifting slowly, it indicates he recently fed. Quickly, he desperately needs to. A part of the mist might be thin tendrils that reach out, usually from either his chest or his hands, to touch or caress objects (or people) around him. The same tendrils may enter the body of a donor/victim when he is feeding; it is through said tendril that feeding thus occurs. When touched by the tendrils or the mist, it is not uncommon to feel a slight tingle, like electricity, and some warmth. Though it looks like it might be cold and damp, it never is.
Personality Murph is not shy, but he is quiet. He doesn't feel the need to speak out of turn, and often says very little. Even to, especially to, those he dislikes, he presents a perfectly respectful front unless pushed well beyond what most people would call the limit. He's not batted an eye at men torturing him, as far as manners were concerned, so breaking his limits is difficult indeed. Usually. With people he is very close to, manners often vanish in exasperated sarcasm, but rarely, even then, does he make a really cruel or cutting remark.
He is almost always in perfect control of his reactions, thanks to the bindings his mother placed on him (see powers and history for details), but while it makes him seem aloof and cold, it is more that he simply does not express himself 'out loud'; a small quirk of the corner of his mouth, or a little quick exhale, might be more than enough to indicate happiness or laughter, a slow blink anger, and so on. He is, thus, hardly unemotional, but hard to read unless you know him well, and not prone to acting out on his emotions, again, unless whoever is at the receiving end is well known. He even resisted acting out against women torturing him (literally, no innuendo here) despite the pain and anger he felt. Many people that do not know him well think he is barely even human, with the way he reacts to his emotions on the surface.
