RP Sample [Third Person]: Hikaru struggled to open her eyes, and once she had managed to do exactly that, she found that she was lying on a cold, hard surface. She was still a little groggy, and thus, she couldn't really make out those faces that were appearing in and out of her vision. She wanted to raise her hands to rub her eyes, but she couldn't.
When she next opened her eyes, she found that she was now currently on an empty street, with nothing but a device. The buildings on either side of her were crumbling, destroyed. She rubbed her eyes.
"This isn't Tokyo or Cephiro," she said, as a matter of factly, completely not surprised at all. "But I still don't know where this is."
Taking a big step down the street, she looks around at her surroundings. Her mind flashed back to a few hours, or perhaps, only just a few moments ago.
She was at the Tokyo Tower, and along with Umi and Fuu, had tried to go to Cephiro like usual. The teleportation definitely worked, seeing as how this place wasn't the Tokyo Tower, but at the same time, it wasn't Cephiro either. Confused, Hikaru cocked her head to one side and stood staring at the buildings. Her mind flashed back to the time when she was still in the lab. "Maybe those people would know about this place! But ah, I don't know where they are..."
She sighed, and continued walking onwards. Just up ahead, she finds a kind of weird plant, which looks vaguely like a cactus, except it moves --
It moves?
Enthralled, she moved towards it, grinning. As she got closer, the object/plant/thing started moving towards her as well. Curious, Hikaru made haste towards it, only to be greeted by a shower of needles.
"Ouch! That hurts!" she cried. Her attention still on the incoming cactus. As the attack did not seem to be stopping anytime soon, Hikaru pursed her lips, trying to decide between running away from the needles, or continuing onwards to try and hug it (hey, it looks cute!).
Why do you play this character? Because... Veles needs someone optimistic!

W-wait, what's happening?!
[She asked as she was dressed, but no one answered her. It still didn't make much sense even after the soldiers had told her about the rations, the ID, and the other stuff. She was then shoved out onto the streets, even more confused than ever.]
[She looked around as she walked away from the temple.]
This place isn't Tokyo, and neither does it look like Cephiro... Where could this be? I don't think Mokona would send me to another world.
H-ey! Umi? Fuu? Are you guys here?
[A pause. Silence.]
I guess not... Oh! I know! I should go to the apartments, there should be people there who I can ask about all this. And if Umi and Fuu are here they should be there too.
[And so she sets off down a random street, looking around as she walks.]
This place.. I wonder what happened here to make it like this.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, it is your responsibility to read the GUIDE/FAQ and understand it. In there you will find a slew of information regarding DF's general atmosphere, as well as important details you won't find anywhere else but there.

After that, please follow these steps:
1.) Make your character's journal if you don't already have one.
2.) Proceed to the TAKEN CHARACTERS list and follow the instructions there.
3.) After you've done that, go on over to the HOUSING UNITS post and follow the directions listed there.
4.) Join the following communities: dystopian_flux (main community), dystopian_logs (logs community), and s1_s_anonymous (OOC community). There's also a crack community called dfasscrack, joining is totally optional.
5.) Following the directions at the PLAYER TABLE to add yourself to the list.
6.) If you are interested in your muse having a job, stop in at the Jobs Listing
7.) Be aware of Dystopian Flux's Profile. Every link you need is listed there.
8.) Please go here to see what happens when your character first arrives in Veles.
