Lulu Roman
Rummaging through the one & only local Goodwill this morning, I was disappointed to find that the selections here are pretty meager. Predictably, the books are either romantic or religious, and the same goes for the music.
Amid the crap I made one outstanding find:
'Jesus Set Me Free: The Personal Testimony of LULU ROMAN' ... personally autographed by Lulu herself!
Lulu's (second?) husband, the hairdresser (talk about convenient!), came from this area, and Lulu made a number of personal appearances in the early 80s. I'll bet if I scouted around, I could find a lot more Lulu memorabilia. Time will tell!
