I would appear to be severely allergic to something in Los Alamos. A few minutes out of town I started sneezing nearly nonstop. I appear to be ok at houdini_cs's house. But when we go elsewhere it starts up again.

The surgery to create my AV fistula is scheduled for 21 November. At least a couple of my family members have said they will be here for it. It looks like I will get to spend Thanksgiving in bed.

I heard from one of my former nephrologists. He is helping me get in touch with the person that first developed nocturnal home hemodialysis. He also has given me some pointers on places where it may be easier to get a living donor transplant done ( Read more... )

I heard from one of my old nephrologists (kidney specialists) today. He happens to be having a meeting this weekend with several nephrology groups in NM. He is going to check on what provisions might be made for NHHD. My first meeting with the home dialysis program in Albuquerque is tomorrow. I am going to have a doppler ultrasound as well. The surgeon doing my dialysis access decided he wanted another venous mapping done. It will be done in a couple of weeks. They are currently saying the surgery may have to wait until November due to overcrowding in the hospital. I haven't heard from any of the dialysis companies I have contacted yet.
