Yesterday morning we drove up to London. We had a reasonable run in and we parked up in Streatham, dropped our bags off at Clarry's, briefly met his new lady, Anya (she seemed very nice in the short time we spoke to her) and then set off for Chinatown.
Journey there was less than ideal, we got a train from Streatham Hill up to Victoria, and then got the Circle line to Embankment. This on it's own would have been fine, but the Victoria line was shut, so the Circle was crowded as fuck.
Nonetheless we managed to get on a train and once at Embankment we had to walk up Villier's Street, and the moment we began, I got that old familiar feeling. The hum that runs through my bones, up my spine and into my brain. I was home. God I love that feeling, everything is right and as it should be, and nothing can stop me.
So then we made our way to Chinatown and quickly met up with Sarah and Tony and Sylvia. We went to The Golden Dragon and everyone ordered far too much, as per normal, but surprisingly we ate most of it. Good conversation was had, and once done we went and bought a waving golden cat thing for Kay's friend Mo. Sarah got the bus but the rest of us went and sat back in Leicester Square for a while, thereafter we all made our way back to the tube, and onwards to our destinations. Kay and I just made the train at Victoria and got off at Streatham Common and walked back towards Clarry's.
We stopped at Lidl to pick up some ingredients (there was no other supermarket available) and then onto Chez Clarry, only he was in the pub over the road, so we popped over there for a quick pint and then onto the flat. We watched BSG S04E19 which Kay and I had not yet seen, and continued to drink, then Kay made dinner and once eaten, we got more beer and put on the finale.
OK run out of time, I need to head to bed, will continue when I remember.
