Kudos!

I've been meaning to post these for at least a week, but I kept forgetting. For shame, I know. You'll forgive me, right? :)

First up, Odyssey alum Michael J. DeLuca has a new short story available from Allegory eZine. I haven't yet had the privilege of reading it just yet, but I already know I'm going to love it. :) Read it here.

SHUer Nica Berry (a pen name, but I won't tell her real name unless she wants me to!) has been quite busy with her M/M erotic romance. "Herbal Remedies" from what I hear, is heavy on the romance, whereas Venom's Bond is heavy on the erotica. You've been warned. You can purchase "Herbal Remedies" here and Venom's Bond here.

Pirate-themed anthology Sails & Sorcery features two stories from SHU alums that I know. Congrats to Heidi Ruby Miller for "Islands of Hope" and Chun Lee for "Stillworld: Sailing to Noon." From what I hear, it sounds like a fun anthology, and hey, who doesn't love pirates? If you're interested, just go here.

And last, but certainly not least, a poem from SHU grad K. Ceres Wright. Published by Star*Line, it's also editor's choice, which means we have the privilege of reading it online. It's short, not so sweet, and really makes you think. Definitely a poem I don't mind reading over and over, just to enjoy the connectivity of the words. You can read it here.

That's it for now. One thing I would like to point out is that I'm probably going to keep "Kudos!" limited to writers I know personally***, because otherwise, it's going to be very, very hard to keep up. :) So, if you're a writer and you know me personally, make sure you let me know when your work is available to the public! :)

*** = "personally" has as loose definition as I see fit. If we only know each other online, but hey, we really chit-chat online, that counts as personal. I'm sure there will be other greying of the "rules" but hey, just so you're warned. ;)

kudos!
